People allege cover up, stage protest against Kishtwar police

Jammu, Mar 3: A day after Kishtwar police claims to have solved a murder one Mohammad Hussain son of Sikander Butt Resident of Seer Bhata, Dool, tehsil Nagsani District Kishtwar, the people hailing from the native village of the victim along with family members of deceased held a strong protest against the police for hushing up the case.
The angry protestors accused that police had made facilitated safe exit for 6-7 accused persons and put entire blame on a single persons who too was booked under lighter section of the law.
As per the details available with "Early Times", the angry people blocked the main road outside old DC office Kishtwar and held strong protest against SP Kishtwar and police. Later they also held protest outside Police Station Kishtwar demanding arrest of all the accused involved in the murder. Sensing trouble, senior police officers including Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar Nihal Ranjan and SHO Police Station Kishtwar Sameer Jillani immediately rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the agitating people.
The angry relatives of the deceased termed the death of Mohammad Hussain as a planned murder and demanded the arrest of all the accused involved in the gruesome murder of the deceased.
After hectic efforts, Kishtwar police managed to get the breakthrough in holding the talks with the agitating people and assured the agitating people that no guilty will be spared as investigation into the case was still in progress.
Later speaking to the media persons, some of the agitating people said that they have been assured free and fair probe by the SP Kishtwar and other senior police officials. They said that the victim's family was poor and only the deceased person was the only bread earner and demanded help form the police for the rehabilitation of the victim's family.
Later the agitating people dispersed off peacefully.
As per the police version, on February 23, 2018, it was reliably learnt at Police Post Padyarna that the dead body of one Mohammad Hussain was lying in suspicious condition in a pool of blood at the bank of river Chenab.
During the course of enquiry, it was found that the deceased was murdered by the accused.
The police said that after through enquiry, police has converted the proceedings under section 174 Cr. PC into FIR No. 50/2018 u/s 304 RPC and arrested mtiyaz Ahmed @ Bhola.
