Pakistan trying to kill many birds with ceasefire violations
3/3/2018 11:14:31 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 3: For how long and for how many times troops on the two sides of the divide in Jammu and Kashmir are going to engage themselves in exchange of heavy fire? Well this question can be answered only by Pakistan because the Indian troops retaliate with force and fury whenever and wherever the Pakistani troops resort to ceasefire violations.
Either the day ends in Kashmir with a killing of couple of militants in encounters with the Indian security forces or the night begins with a heavy exchange of fire between the Indian troops and the Pakistani Army. And the Kashmir separatists who owe allegiance to Pakistan have refused to hold talks with the central Government interlocutor, Dineshwar Sharma. Who visited the state as many as five times during the last over four months.
Sharma was supposed to address the internal dimensions of the Kashmir issue. This internal dimension could have been resolved had the separtatists welcomed the Government interlocutor. But these separatists chose to ignore him as if they have done in case of K.C.Pant,N.N.Vohra and a three-member team of interlocutors led by Dilip Padgaonkar. As per the sentiments of these separatists the Hurriyat leaders wish to hold parleys with either the Prime Minister or a team of senior central ministers on the plea that bureaucrats have no say in the settlement of the Kashmir issue.
By building border conflict through ceasefire violations Islamabad aims at killing many birds with mortar or small arms fire.First Pakistani troops plan to keep the Kashmir issue in focus in the global fora. Secondly, during ceasefirfe violations Pak soldiers find it easy to push groups of militants into Jammu and Kashmir. Thirdly, Pakistan mounts pressure on India for the resumption of talks for resolving the Kashmir issue.
And India is not unwilling to reopen the channels of dialogue but Pakistan has to create conducive atmosphere in which meaningful and sustained dialogue could be held. How is it possible for India to reopen the channels of talks when the other side is not only exporting terror but relishing killing of Indian soldiers and civilians.
And on Thrusday the two sides remained engaged I n the exchange of heavy fire after Pakistan lost two soldiers in the Indian retaliatory fire in Rajouri sector. And the Indian troops retaliate with force and fury if some of its soldiers get killed in Pak ceasefire violations. It is exchange of fire in Rajouri today, tomorrow it will be the turn of Poonch and later on Uri and Kupwara and then it may be an exchange of fire on the IB,from Akhnoor to Kathua besides Samba and R.S. Pura.
If peace is derailed in Jammu and Kashmir Pakistan is responsible for it.If militants are killed or the Indian security personnel are eliminated Islamabad is responsible for it. And since 1989-90 the Pakistan sponsored insurgency has led to political and security instability leading to exodus of 3.50 lakh Pandits from the valley. When shall these Pandits return to Kashmir banks on the security scenario. And Pakistan builds border tension to prevent Pandits from returning to Kashmir.
