Sheep and Wool Workers' Associations holds meet

Jammu, Mar 9: Sheep and Wool Workers' Associations under the Chairmanship of Ashok Badyal President of the Association 70(Seventy) newly appointed Employees of Sheep Husbandry Department (Stock Assistants) hailing from various Districts of Jammu Province have joined the Platform of Sheep and Wool Workers Association in presence of various members of Central body of the Association in a function today.
Before joining ceremony a threadware discussion on the burning issues /demands of the employees was held in the meeting hall of the Department which was jointly addressed by the various Sr. leaders of the union: Ashok Badyal while welcoming all the newly joined Employees advised them to perform their official duties sincerely, honestly and with full dedication for the upliftment of the department, as this Department is to serve the poor and needy Sheep breeders of State and dedicated efforts can make better development for their welfare and for their socioeconomic growth.
The main demands which was discussed and decided to putworth to the Director Sheep Husbandry* Jammu as well as to the Government were:-
Two and half days extra pay for the employees working around the clock in the department and providing better living conditions in the various Sheep Farms. Withdrawl of Government order regarding Time Bound Promotion, Ownership rights of Govt T-afns issued to the breeders on permanent basis after getting 50% cost of ram to avoid inbreeding and minimize the mortality rate in Government livestock, holding of DPC and filling up of all vacant posts in the Department, Three years period for the next promotion instead of five years, Stoppage of undue recoveries from the staff.
On the occasion Sandeep Manhas, Mohd. Arif and Varun Padha were nominated as Vice - Presidents and Chief Organizer respectively The other member who addressed gathering are Sushma Devi, Vishal Sharma, S. Jaswinder Singh, Ashwani Kumar, Karan Singh, Karan Kumar, Sanjay Singh, Nair Hafeez,Chander Pratap, c-v.
