Jammu, Mar 11: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri has appealed the state Finance Minister to fulfill the promise of implementation of 7th pay commission recommendation w.e.f April 1, 2018 in favor state Govt. employees and pensioners.
"The issuance of the notification/SRO has now become inevitable since only 20 days left to meet the deadline for implementation of CPC that is 1-4-2018", Shastri said this while addressing a largely attended NMC workers meet.
Shastri urged Dr. Haseeb-A- Darbu to direct the concerned to ensure timely issuance of SRO so that the benefits of 7th pay commission reach to salaried class and pensioners as per the decision of the State Govt. Since this pro employees/pensioners friendly decision, has been widely welcomed and appreciated by about 4.50 lakh employees and about 1 lace pensioners who will heave a sigh of relief, Shastri pointed out.
While pleading the cause of 61,000 daily rated workers, Shastri demanded that a review of SRO 520, since its clauses are not workers friendly because large numbers of cases, qualification bars need to be relaxed because facilities of such qualification was not available at that point of time when these daily rated workers supported the Govt. for implementation of the essential services, Govt. scheme at the far flung areas of the State, and services are being rendered by them for the last 30 years with hope that Govt. will also take care of their valuable contribution despites odds, without having any regular disbursement of their monthly salary. |
