| Mendhar residents facing shortage of water | | | Early Times Report
Mendhar, Mar 11: The residents of Mendhar are facing acute shortage of water supply for the last one month. The residents alleged that the service line provided to the ward is very old which requires replacement. Moreover unauthorised connections have been provided to the Hotels/Dhaba Walas by linemen without the notice of AEE.
They said all connections provided to the Dhaba Walas are in 'T' shape which is directly connected to their water tanks.
"More than 20 days have passed but neither the pipe has been repaired nor water has been supplied to Ward No 3 Mendhar Town," said residents, adding that despite repeated requests AEE Mendhar did not pay any attention.
During recent meeting it was informed by the AEE that there are no funds at present and they are approaching XEN for provision of 300 mtr 2 and half inch pipe for replacement of service line pipe.
They requested that AEE PHE Mendhar may please be instructed to restore water supply to ward No 3 of Mendhar town immediately. |
