Kathua, Mar 12: A college level seminar on the topic, "Role of the youth in promoting water safety, conservation and proper sanitation" was organized by National Development Foundation with sponsorship from Communication and Capacity Development Unit, Department of PHE, I&FC in Govt. Women Degree College Kathua.
Kulvinder Kour Principal Women Degree College Kathua was the chief guest.
Ten students participated in the seminar and expressed their views on importance and ways of water conservation.
The seminar was witnessed by approx. 250 students. Asstt. Prof. Umesh Kailoo, Asstt. Prof. Ravinder Kour and Asstt Prof. Madhuri were the judges during the seminar.
Megha Sharma bagged first position, Geetika Bharti bagged 2nd position and Stuti Padha bagged the third position.
Two consolation prizes were also given to Mona Andotra and Shivali Saini. Others who participated in the seminar include Sakshi Sharma, Monika Devi, Meenu Padha, Dolly Priya, and Arti Sharma.
Prizes and certificates were distributed among all the participants.
Water testing through Field testing kits was also demonstrated among the participants. |
