RD S&LR condcuts second inspection of Niabat Tikri

Udhampur, Mar 12, 2018: Amit Sharma, Regional Director Survey and Land Records (Ex-Officio Settlement Officer) Udhampur/Reasi today conducted second inspection of Niabat Tikri Dalling in District Udhampur within a span of six months wherein lot of revenue records were checked alongwith progress of writing Jamabandies was also assessed for revenue villages falling under this Niabat. The team accompanying RD, S&LR included NT Karnail Singh, Patwari Ghulam Mohd, Bhagat Singh and others.
During the course of this second Inspection, Naib Tehsildar Tikri Vinod Badyal produced all the requisite revenue records for inspection purposes before RD, S&LR Amit Sharma and his team and few spot instructions for improving the quality of records were issued. Overall, the Jamabandies written by Patwaries of Tikri Niabat were found in a better shape this time and were appreciated as a good follow-up action after last Inspection held in October 2017.
However, RD, S&LR Amit Sharma pointed NT Tikri to gear-up the pace of writing these Jamabandies and also Mutations as the same with also facilitate ongoing digitisation work under DILRMP in the state.
Apart from this, RD, S&LR also pointed out that no Patwari should leave concerned PH without NT assigning her/his charge to some adjoining Halla Patwari so that Public inconvenience is minimised as people form far-flung areas travel for getting copies of their concerned revenue records.
Few more advisories were issued for regular updations of all Revenue records as that no disputes arise due to it. Moreover, Amit also pointed out that if any tempering of records is found out, stringent punishments as prescribed under law shall be taken against the delinquent officials.
All the officials noted instructions of RD, S&LR Amit Sharma and assured to follow them in letter and spirit. Before concluding the Inspection, the RD, S&LR team also noted down the challenges faced by this office and they would take them with appropriate higher authorities.
