Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 22: KPSS urged all the National and International Forums to press upon the State Government to issue a white paper on Nadimarg massacre of the Kashmiri Pandits. Fifteen years have passed since Nadimarg Massacre, in which 24 Kashmiri Pandits were killed by the armed insurgents. All the security / investigating agencies of the State failed to book the culprits who planned and executed this heinous crime against this Miniscule Community for the reasons best known to them. Though all the six major massacres which took place in the year 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2003 at Sangrampora (Budgam), Wandhama (Ganderbal), Tailwani (Anantnag), Pethbugh (Anantnag), Hugam (Anantnag) and Nadimarg (Shopian) respectively witnessed the killing of 66 innocent Kashmiri Pandit. Apart from target killings, all the six massacres happened when the left out Community chose to stay back in Kashmir Valley even after the mass exodus of the Community in the year 1990. This speak volumes about the fact had not the Kashmiri Pandit Community left Valley in early 1990s, the Community would had reduced to numbers only. |
