Rajouri, Mar 22: Even as the former SHO Sunderbani Police Station in 2017 had shielded a rape accused by allegedly forcing the victim's family to compromise with the rapist, the police have finally arrested the rape accused.
In 2017, when the victim's family had filed a complaint of rape at Police Station Sunderbani here, SHO had allegedly pressurized the family of the girl to compromise with the accused. Recently the police arrested the accused and send him to remand. "We are convinced that it was rape case and this accused couldn't be allowed to move around freely any further," said a police official. Meanwhile the locals have hailed the SHO Sunderbani for initiating action against the accused and appealed the DGP SP Vaid take action against former SHO Ravinder Parihar. |
