HEM holds protest, reiterates demand of CBI probe into Asifa murder case 3/22/2018 11:53:57 PM Early Times Report HIRANAGAR, Mar 22: Reiterating their demand to announce a CBI probe into Asifa Bano murder case, a large number of Hindu Ekta Manch (HEM) workers including women today staged a protest at Kootah Morh, Hiranagar. Raising slogans against the state government, the protesters burnt the effigy of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh. It is worthwhile to mention here that the HEM is demanding a CBI probe into Asifa Bano murder case for the last one month but its demand has not been accepted by the state government. Kant Kumar Sharma, sarpanch of Kootah Panchayat and general secretary of Hindu Ekta Manch said that time and again we reiterated that the real culprits should get the punishment. "The Crime Branch is unnecessarily harassing the innocent people in the case which will not be tolerated by Hindu Ekta Manch," said Kant Kumar Sharma. He warned the government not to do politics over the 8-year old girl's murder. Kant Kumar further said that the people don't have faith on crime branch which is dominated by officers imported from Kashmir adding that only CBI probe could unearth the truth. He said that if the PDP could opt for a CBI probe in the Shopian murder case saying it had no faith in the state police then why can't the state government accepts our demand. "We will not accept anything less than a CBI probe. We are not saving the culprits; we are only demanding justice for the murder of an innocent girl. We had hopes that BJP will help us as the Jammu province elected 26 MLAs for the party but these MLAs didn't rescue the people of Rasana village of Hiranagar," said Kant Kumar Sharma. Lashing out at the BJP, Sharma said the party did not even listen to the demand of Hindu Ekta Manch and not even come forward to support the manch when Mehbooba Mufti said there is no need of CBI probe into Asifa Bano murder case adding after that day no BJP office bearer from district Kathua, not even local MLA of Hiranagar come to support us.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
