Jammu, Apr 4: Gandhi Global Family presented Samta Award to Sant Nirankari Mission for its outstanding work in universal brotherhood and peace. The function was held at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan Shastri Nagar Jammu. Padamshri Dr S P Verma President Gandhi Global Family presented the award to Ajit Singh Zonal Incharge on behalf of Sant Nirankari Mission. The award has been instituted by GGF in the memory of freedom fighter and social reformer Babu Jagjivan Ram Ji on his birth anniversary. Paying rich tributes to Babu Jagjivan Ram, S P Verma said that Babu has left an indelible mark in the history of the country as a fervent champion of the cause of backward and marginalized stratum of the society. Ajit Singh Zonal Incharge also threw light on activities of SNM on the occasion. Dr Fayaz Ahmed Bhat Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Peace Foundation, G L Bhagat, Soba Ram , Raghav Sharma among the dignitaries presented on the occasion. |
