| EC of Amar Singh Club Jammu calls on Governor | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 6: The recently elected Executive Committee of Amar Singh Club Jammu today met the governor who is the ex officio patron of the Amar Singh Club, Jammu.
It was a courtesy call wherein the Executive committee members led by the officiating secretary Vijay Saraf briefed governor about the development and renovations that club had witnessed in the recent past under the guidance of club's vice president Hemant Kumar Sharma (Divisional Commissioner Jammu) and also apprised him of various initiatives the executive committee had taken towards organizing various activities, celebrating various festivals and also social cause works. The Governor gave a patient hearing to the executive committee members and lauded their efforts towards all these. He emphasized that the club should do more towards social causes with a special mention towards Swach Bharat Abhiyaan. Governor also desired to make efforts towards cancer awareness in the society by way of organizing medical camps and even wanted elite members of the club to contribute towards eradicating this disease. Governor assured the committee that he would like to be a part of any event being organized by club in future relating to any social cause. |
