Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 6: A senior BJP leader and one of the party's founding members from Chenab valley on Friday slammed the party leadership of Kishtwar for not inviting him to the party's 38th raising day.
A function was held with much fanfare at Tourist Reception Center, Kishtwar, and was presided over by State Health and Medical Education Minister Bali Bhagat and also attended by party MLA and MoS Sunil Kumar Sharma. In his strong message on Facebook, 80-year-old veteran BJP leader Manmohan Gupta reminded the party leadership of Kishtwar that he is the only person from erstwhile Doda district who had attended the foundation day of BJP in Bombay (Mumbai) in 1980.
He questioned the party leadership of Kishtwar, asking "Will any leader/worker remember me in the program being held in TRC Kishtwar--- not at all--- However stay all BJP Activists always blessed."
Following the Facebook post of Gupta, several BJP loyalists slammed the party for ignoring the veteran party leader and hailed his contribution.
The BJP loyalists invoked the party patriarch Lal Krishna Advani who is being sidelined by the BJP government after Narendra Modi took over the reigns of the country. "Unfortunate, and it is practice of BJP who always forget senior leadership and their works," wrote Ranjit Parihar.
Another BJP loyalist Adarsh Thaker Butiyal wrote on Facebook: "I recognize you as the first person I ever meet from BJP--- I was fond of all those badges, stickers and flags with Kamal Ka Phool (symbol of BJP) on them presented by you to me every time I visited your shop and I used to call you Kamal Ka Phool Valae uncle-- those were the days and it was you who inspired me towards the ideology of this party and which lasts till today -- God bless u with good health---Jai Hind".
Several other people who commented on this post also took the BJP leaders to task for ignoring Gupta and sought answer from the party leadership.
