Rajouri, Apr 6: Tightening noose against people involved in violation of traffic rules and regulations, Rajouri police has challaned 294 vehicles besides seizure of 60 in Thanamandi Sub Division alone in the month of March 2018.
Drive against violation of traffic rules and regulation has been launched by Rajouri police across the district with aim to minimise road accidents and to prevent loss of precious human lives.
In Thanamandi Sub Division comprising of Police Station Thanamandi and Police Station Darhal, 294 vehicles have been challaned by police in month of March. 60 vehicles have also been seized as these vehicles were found plying on road without requisite documents thereby involved in complete violation of norms. Police also registered one FIR each in Police Station Thanamandi and Darhal after drivers of two vehicles were found indulged in heavy overloading of passengers thereby posing direct risk of lives to them. SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas has appealed all the people of Rajouri district to follow traffic rules and regulations in proper spirit. He has appealed people to use crash helmets, seat belts and to take all other precautions while driving on road and not to indulge in any rash driving, wrong parking.
