4/10/2018 10:32:33 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 10: R P Seth President and Madan Lal Narad General Secretary Aarakshan Virodhi Party Jammu Kashmir submitted a memorandum to the Divisional Commissioner Jammu on behalf of the people of general category of the state with following demands: The SC /ST atrocities act should be immediately abrogated as its continuation is highly determinatal for the overall development of the country a cursory glance over certain figures associated with aforesaid discriminatory act reveal the following.
In the year 2017 a total out of 15000 cases were registered under this act 12000 cases were found to be false 2000 cases were challaned in court 1000 cases compromised this shows total misuse of the atrocities act against general category.
The Bandh call given by the SC /ST category people and supported by the political parties is highly condemned. The loss caused by the protests must be recovered from the protesters and their supporters and they need to be booked for murder of 12 innocent people under relevant sections of IPC. The bandh seems to be a sinister design of political parties inimical to the intrest of general population in particular as well as against this mighty nation in general. It is needless to reteriate here that this nation comprise of general .as well sc.st and multitude of religious and linguistic minorties ..much of water has flown the ganges since the pormulgation of constitution.now it is high time that discrimnation based on caste ,creed, religion in matter of public employment ,promotion and in other fields needs immediate abrogation.
