4/10/2018 10:34:54 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 10: Pursuant to the decision taken in General House meeting held on 3rd April, 2018, the work in all the courts, Revenue Courts , Tribunals & Commissions including the High Court remained paralyzed for the 7th day. Members of the Association staged protest Dharna in the District Court Complex, Jammu, in support of their demands.
Leaders of Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) also attended the Protest Dharna and supported the demands raised by the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu vis-à-vis the Call of Jammu Bandh.
B.S. Slathia, Sr. Advocate & President of the Association appealed to all the leaders of the Civil Society to make the Jammu Bandh a great success . He appealed that during the Jammu Band no untoward incident should take place . He cautioned that the people should remain vigilant and watch that no anti-national element should enter in our peaceful Jammu Bandh.
The office bearers and members of the Bar Association later went around Jammu city and met different leaders of the Civil Society and Traders of all the Bazars in connection with tomorrow's Jammu Bandh, who assured their full support to complete Jammu Bandh on Wednesday.
As per the reports received by the Association, the work remained suspended in Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, Bishnah, Reasi, Basholi, Hiranagar, Bhaderwah, Billawar, Akhnoor & other Muffasil Courts of Jammu province.
Meanahile Shiv Sena ( Bala Sahib Thackery ) today gives its support to Jammu Bandh on April 11, 2018 given by Bar Association Jammu and several others organizations . While talking to media persons here at Jammu State President of Shiv Sena Dimpy Kohli along with General Secretary Manish Sahni said that J&K is a sensitive State and is reeling under so many threats ranging from terrorism, communal tensions, cold war and now infiltration of Rohingyas adding that most of these Bangladeshis are beggars and street hawkers who are acquainted with the nook and corners of Jammu, which in terms of security is a very big threat.
Kohli alleged that Rohingyas have encroached the State land in the outskirts of Jammu city and made Jhuggis (huts) upon it asserting that several thousands of Rohingyas immigrants, who were forced to leave their native land, entered India through porous Indo-Bangladesh Border
Reacting to the situation rising out of the ongoing agitation spearheaded by the Bar Association Jammu, Congress has termed the unrest and Bandh Call as a result of failure of the present coalition especially BJP which had got the mandate in Jammu region. It is not only the utter failure of the BJP but its politics of exploitation and opportunism which is getting exposed with each passing day.
Since the present bandh call exposes the fragility of the opportunist alliance especially the BJP, the congress has extended its full support in principle with its views on issues.
JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Mr. Ravinder Sharma while questioning BJP to clear the stand of the State government of which it is equal partner and also steps taken by the Modi government for around four years of power, over the issue of Rohingiyas and Bangladeshis, he said BJP cannot hide from public that it does not want to annoy its coalition partner and just passing on the buck to others.
Duggar Kranti Sena (Trust) during an emergent meeting held under the Chairmanship of its Chairman Advocate Vilakshan Singh decided to support bandh call given by J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu and other social organizations.
The Dogra Front & Shiv Sena today sought public support to make successful Bandh, called by Bar Association Jammu for deportation of Rohingyas.
The President of DF&SS ASHOK GUPTA took out a procession in Jammu city in an appeal to observe complete Bandh to support the demand for deportation of Rohingyas. The party workers raised slogans against Bangladeshis & Rohingya demanding there deportation as they have become a security risk to the nation and there role on changing the demography of Jammu.
Jammu Republic Party (JRP) extended its support to Jammu Bandh call given by the Bar Association on April 11 in support of demand for revocation of illegal directives issued in pursuance to a meeting of the Tribal Affairs Department held on February 14, 2018, handing over of investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation for a fair probe into the Rassana (Hiranagar) murder case Said Jammu Republic Party National President Rohit Choudhary.
