Jammu, Apr 10: Miran Sahab Zone lifts U/12 yrs Inter Zone District Level Football Championship under Let's Play Scheme Co-branded with Khelo India here today at Govt. Middle Model School Satwari Cantt defeating Gandhi Nagar Zone by 3-0 Goals. The Competitions were organized by Department of Youth Services & Sports District Jammu under the patronage of Shiekh Fayaz Ahmad, Director General, Youth Services & Sports and under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services & Sports Jammu. While Chanchal Kour, DYSSO Jammu was the organising Secretary of the tournament. Later on, the tropies were distributed among the winners, runners up teams and the third place holders by Kiran Jyoti, H. K. Koul, Poonam Kotwal, Chander Kanta and Ravi Thakur Zonal Physical Education Officers of District Jammu. While addressing the participants, H.K. Koul who was Chief Guest on the concluding function said that Sports plays an important role for the development of physical, mental and social growth. He stressed upon the participants to play the game in the true sportsman sprit. |
