Thananmandi, Apr 10: Students of junior classes of Govt. Degree College Thannamandi organized Farewell Party for outgoing classes (Sixth Semester and BA/BSc. Final).
Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Shakeel Ahmad Raina presided over the function. All faculty members and students of the college attended in the function. The students of second and fourth semester presented a varied cultural function for the students of sixth semester, which included songs, interactive games and poems.
The students also accorded a warm send off to the outgoing class, and wished them best of luck for the future. The senior students gave words of wisdom to the juniors, and told them to work hard in their studies. Faculty members of the college also wished success in the examinations to the students. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Shakeel Ahmed Raina praised the students for continuing the tradition of giving farewell to the outgoing classes, and wished best of luck to the students of sixth semester. He said that the college had high hopes for the students, and hoped that they achieve the highest successes.
Earlier the programme started with recitation of few verses of Holy Quran. The programme was compared by Sehrish Shakoor, Asgar Majeed, Rabia Samyal and Hamraz Chand. Junior students awarded titles to the outgoing students according to their capabilities and the seniors reciprocated the same by extending thanks and wishes to the students. Other prominent faculty present on the occasion included Prof. Saleem Ayaz Rather, Dr. Arun Sharma, Prof. Rizwan Ahmed Khan, Dr. Shokit Ali, Prof. Shaji Khan, Dr. Punam Rani, and others. |
