Poonch, Apr 27: The tall claims of the District Development Commissioner regarding development stand busted as people of Dhara and Fatehpur have accused him of depriving them of potable water. There is a lift scheme from Narnote- Dhara to Fatehpur having 6 tanks including a bore which is almost non-functional due to negligence of PHE department, locals further informed. Locals said, "Although District Development commissioner has raided various pumping stations, offices and other public institutions and took action against employees, but he ignored the said project." Javid Reshi, a local said, "he has taken up this matter with the deputy commissioner ten days ago, but no action has been taken and people are suffering for want of water."
He has appealed to Vigilance Organization to conduct an inquiry into the matter and further appealed to chief minister to take appropriate action in the matter. |
