Kishtwar boy cracks IAS exam with 69th rank

Jammu, Apr 27: : Much to the delight for the people of Kishtwar District, 25 year old Abishek Sharma son of Suresh Kumar Sharma resident of Sarkoot Kishtwar today cracked IAS examination 2017-18 with 69th rank.
Son of senior PDP leader from Kishtwar, Abhishek qualified the IAS exam in his 3rd attempt with political science as its subject. Born on 19-11-1993, Abhishek got his basic schooling from Bhartiya Vidya Mandir School Kishtwar and passed the matriculation examination with 90 percent marks and passed his 12th class examination from SP Higher Secondary School Jammu with 93 percent marks.
After passing 12th class, Abhishek did his engineering from Government College of Engineering and Technology Jammu in civil stream.
Speaking to 'Early Times' Abhishek attributed his success to his parents Suresh Sharma and mother Pritima Sharma beside also hailing the support of his elder brother Abhinav Sharma. He said that his mother inspired him for appearing in IAS examination adding that it is because of the support of his parents and friends, he managed to pass the IAS examination.
He said that his teacher and mentor Ram Sevak Sharma, who is known as one among the renowned religious scholar in state of Jammu and Kashmir adding that it was Principal Bhartiya Vidiya Mandir School Kishtwar who guide him both spiritually and through guidance towards this success.
Suresh Sharma said that he feels proud over the success of his son who not only brought laurels to his family, but to Kishtwar District as well. He said that he would like more people from this backward and hilly district of the state to qualify this examination in future.
It is pertinent to mention that Syed Sehrish Asgar also brought the laurels to Kishtwar District by cracking the IAS exam with 118th rank while another youth Vimresh Aryan also qualified the civil service examination and got IFS.
