Demand of CBI inquiry into the Rasana case is Justify: JPPF

Jammu, Apr 29: Dispelling the confusion created by some mischievous elements in connivance with separatists over the meeting of civil society with Bar Council of India (BCI), in an vain bid to vitiate the secular atmosphere in Jammu region, the Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF) today has clarified that prominent personalities, intellectuals, thinkers and scholars of Jammu met the visiting delegation to apprise them the situation of Rasana as to why they are demanding CBI enquiry.
Mentioning the prominent personalities of the civil society who met the visiting BCI delegation on April 20, 2018 at Jammu, the JPPF said that under the stewardship of Pavittar Singh Bharadwaj District & Session Judge (Retired) president JPPF included heads of Sabha, society, traders and other NGOs, besides Kr Narayan Singh president Rajput Sabha, Neeraj Annad president Retailer Association, Maj Gen (retired) Goverdan Singh Jamwal, Er MS Katoch prominent educationist & working president JPPF, Inderjeet Khajuria chairman Paryatan Vikas Mandal, Pawan Gupta president All Jammu Hotel & Lodges Association, Pritam Sharma president Jammu & Kashmir Kranti Dal, S Attar Singh, Prithvi Raj Sharma general secretary- Retired Police Officers Association, Avinash Bhatia, Ashutosh Gupta president Traders Association, Pawan Singh Chib youth leader along with other 25 prominent citizens had met with the visiting team. Besides, the civil society submitted a memorandum demanding CBI enquiry in the Rasana rape and murder case.
Justifying the demand of CBI enquiry into the Rasana case, the JPPF said that there is of lot of confusion and contradictory versions among the state enquiring agencies, which has created unrest among the people of Jammu, and CBI enquiry is the only answer.
Those who present in the meeting included MS Katoch, Inderjeet Khajuria, ML Sharma, Avinash Bhatia, Prof OP Sharma, Sunita Sharma, Satwant Kour, Udhey Chand, Pawna Sharma, Rashpal Singh, Naresh Thappar, Charanjit Kumar, Pawan Singh and Gurmeet Singh.
