Kishtwar: Teacher transferred despite ban
5/17/2018 11:00:46 PM
Early Times Report

Kishtwar, May 17: Despite clear cut ban on transfers and postings of teachers, a transfer order in back date has been issued in Kishtwar on the name of former Chief Education Officer who retired last month.
As per details available with Early Times, the order was issued on the name of retired CEO Kishtwar (vide No. CEO/K/2018/16711-14, dated 30-3-2018) as per which a teacher was transferred from High School Drabshala to Government City Middle School Kishtwar.
Surprisingly, the transferred teacher approached the office of ZEO Kishtwar on 16-5-2018, nearly one and half month after the order in question was issued. Also, ZEO Kishtwar endorsed the order by allowing the said teacher to join at new place of posting. Sources in Education Department told the Early Times that the issuance of order in back date is the handiwork of an official who is working in the CEO Kishtwar since last several years and is also said to be responsible for the mess in the department.
Meanwhile, senior officials of Education Department assured that they will look into the matter and also assured action against the guilty persons.
They said that all the transfers were banned by the government during the period when this order in question was issued and that one CEO of Jammu Division has already faced action in this behalf.
It is pertinent to mention that Kishtwar Education Department has gone through rough patches after the Vigilance Organisation of Jammu conducted a raid in the CEO Office Kishtwar and seized records related to transfers and attachment.
