| APS Kaluchak conducts cleanliness drive | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 17: NCC cadets of APS Kaluchak conducted cleanliness drive today in its espoused village Birpur under the guidance of NCC ANOs Deepak Walia and Anamika Jamwal.
Over hundred of NCC cadets carried out a rally in the village acquainting the natives of the village with the indispensable need of cleanliness. Students cleaned the vicinity of the unkempt reservoir as well as the area of the temple, Datta Ranpat Dev, thereby fostering the notion of "Cleanliness is next to Godliness" amongst the natives and inspiring them to keep their surroundings neat and unsoiled.
Hem Lata Vishen , Principal APS Kaluchak participated in the drive and also encouraged the villagers with her motivation laden words. The village sarpanch along with the senior citizens lent an enthusiastic hand in the drive and vowed to ensure the cleanliness of the village. The school has adopted Birpur village for a span of one year and hence has shouldered the responsibility of spreading awareness amongst its natives regarding various pivotal issues such as afforestation, child labour, global warming, drug abuse etc. The entire drive was carried out with lot of vivaciousness and the first step towards accomplishing the above mentioned endeavour proved to be a triumph. |
