| Jammu grenade attack, total failure of intelligence security apparatus: Vikram Malhotra | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 26: Congress General Secretary, Vikram Malhotra in a statement here today while condemning the grenade attack on the police personnel lashed out on the state government for its total failure to ensure law and order in state.
While referring to the grenade attack on the police vehicle in Jammu, he said that the security situation reminds us of the situation in the 90 's and the present BJP-PDP government has failed to control the militancy related incidents in the state.
He said that the latest incident where the terrorists acted with impunity and struck in the heart of the city without even getting noticed goes on to prove that there is a collapse of intelligence and security apparatus in the state which is a great cause of worry .
Malhotra said that though the Congress party has always stood by the government in all its efforts to restore peace in the state including the unilateral cease fire in the holy month of Ramadan, but this move seems to be made in haste by the BJP government just to please Mehbooba Mufti ignoring the concerns of security agencies and this step which has not yielded any result with attacks on security forces in Kashmir, firing on borders and this brazen attack in Jammu. |
