BJP Celebrates 4 Years 'Soaked With Blood of Border People'

Early Times Report
Udhampur, May 26: While the innocent border dwellers continue to fall to enemy guns, BJP in Jammu yesterday celebrated four years of Modi government and organized a rally at Akhnoor in this regard.
The rally and celebrations witnessed very thin presence and insiders informed that the handful gathering was managed after offering liquor and money.
A shopkeeper at a small distance from the rally venue said that BJP has failed in safeguarding the lives of border people and is carrying on its politics of shame by such celebrations.
With regret, one Rajiv of Arnia said: "On the dead-bodies of border people the BJP has celebrated its four years in government."He resented that the BJP led government has failed to fulfil the demands of border people especially that of five marla’s of plots at safer zones. He further said that the four years of BJP rule remained soaked in the blood of border people. Sohan Lal from R.S Pura said that people in his area are continually being killed by shelling of Pakistan and in such an atmosphere how can one have fun and celebrations.
It is pertinent to mention here that after the Union Government announced unilateral ceasefire during the month of Ramzan, Pakistan appears to have emboldened itself as it is subjecting the residential areas on Indian side to massive firing and shelling. This has killed many people including an eight month old baby and another eight years old boy.
The worst hit areas due to the Pakistan firing and shelling remained R.S Pura and Arnia.
Apart from this many cattle have been killed apart from massive damage to the houses and other form of property at borders in Jammu, Samba and Kathua areas of the State.
Also there was a grenade attack on a police vehicle at General Bus Stand Jammu two days back injuring two cops.
A retired army officer said, the BJP should have postponed the celebrations and waited for normalcy to return on borders.
Apart from this there is also an increase in terrorist attacks after the unilateral ceasefire was announced by the government. Despite repeated attempts BJP State President Ravinder Raina could not be reached for comment.
