| Heli service rates for Machail, Hud Mata Yatra fixed | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, May 26: After much delay and deliberations, the committee headed by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar fixed the rates for this year chopper service to holy Machail and Hud Matta pilgrimage.
As per the details available with Early Times, the heli-service for the yatra as operators have fixed the fare to Rs 2,200 for Machail per head for adults and children between the age group of 02 - 12 years. The fare is for one way journey. Heritage Pvt. Limited and Pawan Hans are the two companies which managed to bag this year 's contract for flying passengers to and fro from Gulabgarh-Machail-Gulabgarh.
"Allotment of contract for providing helicopter services fo shree Machail Mata Yatra during the period 25-07-2018 to 05-09-2018 and Hud Mata (Dacchan) 18-07-2018 to 23-07-2018", the order of DC read added that the tariff has been allocated as per location/sector for both adults and childerns Including Kishtwar-Gulabgarh for adults and childerns Rs. 4,000/- one way, Gulabgarh Machail Rs.2,200 one way, Kishtwar-Kaikoot,Hud Mata Rs.2,400 one way, Sounder (Dacchan)- Kalkoot, Hud Mata one way Rs.4,000.
The Holy Machail Yatra will start officially from 25th of July this year and culminate on 5-9-18. The Chopper services will also start from 25th to 5th of September 2018.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana, said that the heli-services have been offered by the government to facilitate the pilgrims in the rough and difficult terrain of the Kishtwar valley.
"It will facilitate the elderly, children and even sick people to pay obeisance to the deity. It will also help in relief and rescue operations in case of any emergency", he added.
Earlier the rates were fixed by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, but this time it was fixed by concern DC and as compared to last year, this year the chopper tickets are cheaper by Rs. 400. |
