SRINAGAR, May 26: Vigilance Organization Kashmir (VOK) today produced a charge sheet in the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Baramulla relating to FIR number 24/2012 u/s 5(1) d r/w 5(2), of J&K P.C. Act Svt; 2006 section 4-A J&K P.C (Amendment) Act, 2014 and sections 201,109, 120-B RPC against three accused persons.
The charge sheet has been produced against Nazir Ahmad Wani (the then Office Qanoongo, Tehsil Office, Sumbal-Sonawari), Manzoor Ahmad Dar (the then orderly Tehsil office Sumbal- Sonawari) and Syed Shabbir Ahmad Andrabi (the then Tehsidar Sumbal-Sonawari).
On the outcome of verification conducted into the allegations of demand and acceptance of illegal gratification of Rs. 40,000 from Haji Abdul Aziz Dar R/O Lalnagar, Chanapora by Nazir and Shabir for implementation of the order passed by Joint Financial Commissioner (A.R) to Tehsildar Sonawari in respect of Mutation No.400 dated 12-01-1989 and Mutation No. 401 dated 13-01-1989 relating to land falling under Khasara No. 721 measuring 23.4 kanals situated at village Sarie Dangerpora, Tehsil Sonawari.
Out of Rs. 40,000, Rs.35, 000 was paid by the complainant to Nazir through cheque number 17741913 Dated 08-08-2011. The cheque was initially handed over for encashment to Manzoor. The investigation concluded as proved against the accused persons and for launching prosecution, the challan was produced today before the court. |
