Poonch, May 26: Although Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj has introduced schemes like MGNREGA, BRGF, 13th and 14th FCs and others for the development of rural areas of the state but the interventions of political representatives including legislators has made the said schemes fruitless.
According to the sources from many areas of block Mandi, Sathra, Loran, Surankote, Bafliaz, Balakote, Mankote, Mendhar, Sain Baba Miran Bakhash Nangali Sahib and Poonch blocks the people have informed Early Times that officials of the department are working under the political influence of legislators which harmed general public in common.
Locals including Wali Mohd Sheikh, Mohammed Abas, and others have appealed to chief minister Mehbooba Mufti and minister for RDD and Panchayati Raj to intervene into matter and provide the RDD and Panchayati Raj works to Gharam Sabha level. |
