JKNPP holds protest demonstration outside IGP Hqrs
5/26/2018 11:43:18 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 26: Panthers Party activists including female members under banner of Mahila Panthers today led a massive protest demonstration outside IGP Headquarters today.
The protestors further alleged use of filthy and abusive language by SHO Basantgarh who hurled open threats to Panthers Party workers of arresting them alongwith entire family members. They raised slogans against SSP Udhampur for acting on the dictations of BJP for vested interests. They blocked the road outside IGP Headquarters leading to suspension of vehicular traffic for more than one hour. Speaking on the occasion, Manju Singh General Secretary NPP said that some vandals and criminals owing allegiance to BJP had been assigned the charge of physically eliminating the Panthers leaders in which some police officers of District Udhampur had been conniving. She said that apart from attacks on her and her husband several video-graphed threats of physically eliminating Chairman JKNPP had been provided to police which however had refused to take any action against the offenders.
Making a mention of the recent episode of 14-05-2018, Manju Singh said that a BJP worker named Mohan Singh addressed a gathering inside the premises of HSS Basantgarh during office hours in the presence of local BJP MLA and SHO Basantgarh where he not only used highly vituperative, offensive and provocative language but threatened that he would have spilled the blood of Panthers Party leaders with their dead bodies squatted on the ground in case the Panthers Chairman did not have PSOs.
His video-graphed speech is being widely circulated in social media with police also having the requisite details of the same but the SHO too has colluded and no cognizance taken. The SHO Basantgarh has been arresting NPP workers on fake charges besides threatening them to stop speaking against BJP MLA. The said SHO even hurled threats upon Panthers Chairman saying that he was not an ordinary officer and had links with some top leaders and some 'other people'. With police officer behaving like vandals and ruffians and using derogatory language with even most respected citizen, the Chief Minister surely owed an explanation for the conduct of the officers of her Home Deptt, said the NPP leaders.
Manju Singh further pointed out that the delinquent SHO was shielding the MLA Ramnagar who had assaulted a school teacher inside classroom in HSS Basantgarh alongwith his armed gunmen in June 2017 with 42 students having given statements as eye witnesses accusing the said MLA of having assaulted their teacher infront of their eyes. The said SHO has given a clean chit to the delinquent MLA in return for MLA agreeing to shield him in certain corruption complaints against the Police officer, she divulged.
