Birbal's 'corrupt' officers felicitates promotion of junior AEEs over seniors 'Money makes mare go' 5/28/2018 12:16:34 AM Early Times Report Jammu, May 27: In blatant violation of Engineering Services Gazetted Rules, the Public Works (Road and Building) Department promoted junior diploma holders Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) to the post of Executive Engineers. Some senior officials and bureaucrats of the department have allegedly felicitated their promotions despite strong reservations of the deserving engineers. Sources told Early Times that huge corruption has been reportedly taken place for affecting promotion of junior diploma holders AEEs in R&B Department all those promoted belong to reserved category which also violates the Supreme Court's ruling of ban on reservation in promotions. "A group of bureaucrats in Civil Secretariat facilitated their illegal promotion and the order in this connection was issued couple of days ago. Heavy corruption has allegedly taken place and graft money was allegedly distributed among bureaucrats who helped in this illegality," they alleged further adding that a close lieutenant of the Minister concerned took huge graft from the aspirants for felicitating their issue with other senior officers in the Department. They informed that to accommodate these persons, the R & B Department fraudulently forwarded the case to General Administration Department (GAD) for relaxation of qualifying services and experiences on the plea of stagnation, these persons are already to be reverted back as per High Court orders. "Ignoring senior most engineers in the department having 32 to 36 years of regular service, diploma holders who are far junior and do not even possess the qualifying service were promoted in violation of services rules," they alleged further adding that department very clandestinely issued an order which reads that in the interest of administration and smooth functioning of the department, diploma holder I/C AEEs shall look after the work of Division as Executive Engineers.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
