udhampur, June 5: Even after the ban on use of black tinted films on glasses of vehicles ,many private cars are still plying on roads with tinted glasses and police turns a blind eye to the open defiance of apex court directions.
As per a Supreme Court order passed in 2012, there has to be a complete ban on tinted glasses in the vehicles, but in udhampur, it seems that many people are willingly violating the order by using tinted films on the windows of their vehicles. Many four-wheeler owners in Udhampur seem to be ignorant about the fact that the use of tinted glass, is big threat to the security also.
A resident while talking to ET said, "It is highly unfortunate that despite Supreme Court ban, vehicles specially Private four-wheelers are seen using tinted glasses which are completely opaque. I think such cars pose a danger to the security and safety of other citizens". He regretted that policemen standing on roadside watch these vehicles plying but feign ignorance for unkown reasons". |
