Will department order a probe

Early Times Report
Srinagar, June 7: Incompetency and administrative inefficiency of present administration of the GMC Jammu came to fore once again when a junior doctor leaked very confidential details of DPC meeting for various posts held yesterday at Srinagar on whatsApp group of GMC Faculty and taking credit of it for upcoming MTA elections.
Highly placed sources divulged that the junior faculty member, who was also part of previous MTA, went to the extent of claiming that he was instrumental in getting the DPC done in the previous MTA. He sought votes for his team in the MTA elections to be held on June 16th, 2018 in GMC Jammu.
"The person who is claiming credit for the DPC is ex-General secretary of MTA and was very close to the Ex-Minister. It has been alleged that he compromised the interests of the whole medical fraternity of GMC Jammu for some personal gains," sources alleged.
It is learned that DPC meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Mushtaq Wani (member PSC) at Srinagar on 6th of June wherein Principals of GMCs, representatives of the administrative department and PSC took part in the meeting. Principal GMC Jammu cited some court cases of doctors without producing material evidence regarding the same thereby, misguiding and misleading the DPC members, resulting into another meeting of DPC to be held in next week or so.
Slamming some vested interest doctors of the GMC Jammu, sources further alleged that a conspiracy was hatched by few faculty members of GMC against their own colleagues to damage the image of the GMC Jammu just for taking personal mileage. Before leaving for Srinagar, the person who took part in the meeting from GMC Jammu was guided by them to do the needful. After DPC, GMC's head reportedly informed her coterie that needful has been done.
One member of coterie put it on whatsApp and leaked confidential information whose final minutes are still to be made and approved. On further probing, it has been learned that if an independent probe is ordered in the matter a big scam will earth regarding publications required for faculty members to qualify DPC.
Sources added that if such a cheap and bad politics goes on unabated in this premier institution of learning and healthcare, the days are not far away when this institution will lose its sheen. All those unscrupulous elements in the institution should be given a strong warning not to use the official administrative machinery of the institution for their personal gains and for setting their personal scores.
