Retired Police Pensioners Association stages protest against pay anomaly

Vijaypur, June 20: J&K Retired Police Pensioners Association today held a protest demonstration against discrimination with them in pay anomaly at Vijaypur.
They alleged that when 5th Pay Commission was implement throughout the state but only the police department was left out. They said that some of them have even expired and demanded that surviving strugglers should get benefit.
They reiterated their demands like enhancement of Medical Allowances from Rs.3000 Cashless Health care policy be provided by the police personal on the pattern of army and other Paramilitary Forces. In requirement of Police Department and Profession Courses 15% quota Should be reserved for the police personal. At least 50000 should be sanctioned at the death of police personal/ Retires For Performing the last rites of the deceased. In Police Hospital Rs. 5 is Charge of OPD Slip in case of citizen Also Whereas in Govt. Hospital there is No charge for senior citizen OPD slip, in Police Hospital Also OPD slip should be free of cost.
