Early Times Report

Anantnag, June 20: Hours after the imposition of Governor's rule, a family from south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Wednesday made a fervent appeal to its militant son to shun violence and return home.
A video showing ailing parents requesting their son to return home has appeared on social media sites.
"Roshan Zammer, my son, return home for the sake of Allah. You have put us in trouble. How can we survive? I am suffering from multiple aliments and your mother is also a heart patient, " says 70-year-old Ghulam Mohammad in the video.
"Had I brought you up for this?" the father asks the militant son in the video.
The video seems to have been shot before Eid-ul-Fitr as the parents ask their son to return home on Eid.
Reports said that Roshan Zameer, a resident of Aswara Kanelwan in Bijbehera had joined militant ranks a month ago. Last year, his cousin too had joined Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit and officials believe that it could be his cousin who lured Roshan towards militancy. SSP Anantnag, Altaf Ahmad Khan confirmed that Roshan had joined militancy. "I believe he has joined militancy some 15 days ago. His cousin is an active militant and his uncle was also a militant in the past," he said.
The SSP said that Roshan was working as an upper ground worker for his militant cousin before joining militancy.
Prior to joining militant ranks, Roshan was a JCB operator while his father is a tractor driver.
