Early Times Report

Jammu, June 20: A day after collapse of PDP-BJP government in J&K, many BJP leaders who are enjoying protocol as vice chairpersons of various corporations and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) today attended their office and took many important decisions. As per ethics and morality, all politicians appointed as vice chairpersons of different corporations and PSUs should resign from their respective posts after Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti submitted her resignations but these power hungry politicians they preferred to attend their respective offices.
Credible sources said that most of the BJP leaders, who are enjoying power as chairpersons, reached their respective offices earlier in the morning and called their person staff and started signing important files and took some decisions.
In the year 2017, the state government had appointed 16 second-rung politicians of PDP and BJP as Vice Chairpersons (VCs) of 'sick' Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). The cash-starved coalition government in J&K is providing them all luxuries from state's coffer.
Setting up new precedent, PDP-BJP coalition had appointed 16 politicians as VCs of sick PSUs in the month of March 2017 year by violating all norms announced by the government to reduce burden on the state exchequer.
On an average each of these ruling coalition politicians are paid Rs1.5 per lakh per month from the coffer of the State Government, which is already facing financial crunch. Besides monthly salary, perks, allowances and other benefits, these politicians are also enjoying chauffer driven vehicles, personal staff and other advantages.
