JAMMU, June 29: Like other part of Country and State the Parkash Parab Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Jee was celebrated with gaiety and religious fervor at Gurdwara Baba Chanda Singh Ji Jain Bazar Jammu by the Parbandhak Committee.
On the occasion, Sangat from surrounding areas of Jammu city reached Gurudwara Sahib for listening the Kirtan Darbar even due to non declaration of Holiday by the Government. The Guru ka langar was also distributed amongst the sangat and public in general.
Bhai Sahib Bhai Vikramjeet Singh Ji and Jatha, Parcharak Bhai Tirth Singh Jee, Dr. S Tejinder Singh, S. Parveen Singh, and Bibi Nirmal Kour recited the Kirtan.
While speaking on the occasion, S. Sukhbir Singh President of Parbandhak Committee of the Gurudwara Sahib said that the day is very significant and important day for the State of J&K as Guru Hargobind Sahib Jee came to Kashmir to spread the message of peace and brotherhood and despite written letter from Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak. Chattipatshi Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Jee constructed Sri Akal Takth Sahib as the seat of temporal power and this place continues to the present day as the centre of the every socio political activities and power of the Sikh community.
Amarjeet Singh while speaking on the occasion said despite the letter written by the SGPC Sri Amritsar Sahib to the government the holiday has not declared on the occasion. On the occasion the Comrade Sukhdev Singh demanded allotment of land for reconstruction of Gurudwara Charan Kamal Asthan Guru Nanak Sahib Ser Manjila Tehsil Ramnagar District Udhampur, implementation of Anand Marriage Act in J&K, Minority Community Status to Sikh Community in J&K and others.
All the Office bearer Comrade Sukhdev Singh, Amarjeet Singh, Jagbir Singh, Jagdeep Singh, Janmeet Singh, Jasmeet Singh Jagjeet Singh Nanu, Dr. Tejinder Singh ,Jasbir Singh, Jagdeep Singh, Shahbaz Singh, Parveen Singh were also present on the occasion. |
