Jammu, June 29: The desperate bid of Asia hotel in the city to sell its happy hours has made it a laughing stock. The hotel has come with an innovative idea of offering free use of its swimming pool from 11 AM to 3 PM for those who come for lunch in its Chinese restaurant.
"Who will risk even venturing into the outdoor pool when the city is sweltering under 45 degrees," questioned Firdous, an executive in a telecom company. "I am mused by the bizarre offer of the hotel" he added.
He also said that while several other premium hotels which have recently come up in the city offering innovative packages to improve the footfall of guests, this one of the old hotels in the city had made a desperate attempt to regain its clientage especially into its Chinese restaurant.
Another youth who took note of the advertisement circulated through bulk SMS also regretted that the offer lacked complete lack of application of mind as no one would be lured for lunch into an air conditioned restaurant for the sake of a dip in an outdoor pool when it is difficult to even walk out of the homes. "The doctors are advising people to stay indoors to protect themselves from sun strokes and harmful UV rays, here is a hotel offering free dip in its outdoor pool that too in the peak afternoon" he exclaimed. |
