Jammu, July 10: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) National Jat Sikh youth leader and Incharge Jammu and Kashmir Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal has appealed Governor NN Vohra to take strong action against the attackers of the Sikh girl in Kashmir valley.
Talking with the media persons here today, Grewal said that the Sikh girl is a resident of Gandhpora Tral, in the video and claimed that she was attacked by two men riding a motorcycle with a sharp-edged weapon, when she was going to the university.
She said she suffered injuries to her arm and alleged that no action was taken against the culprits even till day, Grewal said and adding that it is very shameful that she was forced to observe fast and wear a headscarf by her classmates, and indicated a link between it and the incident. The girl said she has already raised the issue with the varsity's vice chancellor.
Grewal also asked the Kashmir leaders to come forward and play their part in resolving the crisis that has come up following the harassment meted out to a Sikh girl in the Tral area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district.
At this time Rajinder Singh Chib, KL Sharma, Rajinder Singh Srinagar, Satish Kumar RS Pura and other BJP leaders were present.
