Udhampur, July 10: Flouting all norms, illegal constructions are going on at an alarming rate at popular hill station Patnitop in district Udhampur.
A man is accomplishing his design and is making a hotel in just a four marla of land without any permission or layout from the authorties. Surprisingly the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Patnitop Development Authority (PDA) remains at the construction site so that the construction goes on smoothly without any interference of any authority.
A concerned citizen contacted the CEO through watssap but was told that PDA knew what was right and what was wrong. While CEO PDA Rajinder Singh said that we had issued notice to land owner for stopping the construction failing which the structure shall be demolished. However, till last reports the construction was going on smoothly without interference of any authority.
It is pertinent to mention here that Early Times in its issue dated……… had exclusively carried out an investigative report titled 'Patnitop Hill Station Facing Grave Threat of Land Mafia' wherein role of active land mafia was exposed in Patnitop.
The detested thing in all these cases is that the life supporting tall devdar and other trees are being cut ruthlessly. When contacted DC Udhampur informed that he will look into the matter and assured that no illegal construction will be permitted. |
