| SI calls shots in PHQ, manages his relieving orders | | |

Jammu, July 10: An influential Sub-Inspector, who is reportedly calling the shots in the Police Headquarters (PHQ), is reluctant to relieve after passing of several days of his transfer which was done soon after the imposition of Governor Rule in the state.
"The SI who has been serving in the PHQ for couple of years has been delaying his relieving on various pretexts", said sources, adding that prior to this transfer he had managed modification of several transfer orders in his favour.
The influential SI has almost completed couple of years in the PHQ and prior to this transfer order he was also transferred various times, but he managed modification of his transfer orders as per his own wish.
If sources are to be believed, the SI in question who is known as 'tout' in the police circles has not only managing his own transfer orders but also managed transfers of his choicest persons in the PHQ and holds crucial posting there.
"The SI had managed his choicest men in the PHQ", said a source, adding that he had managed his own men in most of the sections of the PHQ.
As soon as the Governor rule was imposed in the state, the Governor ordered seniors officials to transfer certain officials from PHQ who were serving there from last more time.
Acting on the directions from Governor, the senior officials ordered transfer of some officials who were sitting there for past much time including the said SI. But the SI in question is now delaying his relieving. |
