| Accused sentenced, fined in cheque bounce case | | |
SRINAGAR, July 10: In a cheque bounce case, the accused was sentenced to imprisonment for one year and fine of Rs Rs 15 lakh. The court ordered that out of the fine amount, Rupees fourteen Lakh be paid as compensation to the complainant.
The case was filed in the court of 2nd additional Munsiff in the case of Mohammad Yaqoob Zargar S/o Gulam Mohammad Zargar R/o khan Mohalla baghat Barzulla (Complainant) Verse Norr Ul hassan S/o Mohammad Hussian Khan R/O Ghulab bagh Srinagar.
As per the case, cheque bearing number 889108 dated 14/8/2012 for an amount of Rs 11,03,409 drawn at JK bank Srinagar, but when the aforesaid cheques was presented by the complainant for encashment before his banker JK bank Brach office Rajbagh on 27/08/2012, same was dishonoured for insufficient funds.
The complaint registered the case in court on 3/09/2012 and the 2nd additional Munsiff F.H Iqbal (judge) announced the judgment on 9/07/2018. |
