| Vehicle lifter held with stolen motorcycle | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 10: In continuation to operation Chetak, a special drive against vehicle theft cases launched by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, team AVTAR of police post Pouni Chak recovered one stolen motorcycle and arrested the vehicle lifter.
Police spokesman said that on 21st May of 2018 one Gurpreet Singh of Gole Gujral, Jammu reported at police post Pouni Chak that some unknown persons have stolen his motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AS-7338 (Yamah-FZ) which was parked outside his house.
"On this, a case under FIR No. 241/2018 under section 379 of RPC was registered at Domana police station and investigation was started", said police spokesman adding that during investigation many suspects were rounded up and all efforts were made to recover the above mentioned stolen vehicle.
Spokesman further said that today during questioning, one Manzoor Ahmed of Dhataryal, Marh revealed his involvement in above said theft case and on his disclosure the above said motorcycle was recovered from his possession.
The arrest and recovery was made by the team headed by In-charge Police Post Pouni Chak-SI Sumit Mangotra under supervision of Inspector Rajeshwar Singh-SHO Domana, DySP Sandeep Gupta- SDPO Domana and Dushyant Sharma- SP Rural. |
