59 Veterinary Graduates from SKUAST take oath of Profession

Jammu, July 10: A batch of 59 veterinary graduates of session 2013 of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu, took oath of profession at a ceremony held at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, R.S. Pura Campus on Tuesday.
According to press release, 59 veterinary graduates including 27 girls and 32 boys took oath of profession.
A solemn function to mark the occasion was organized for the pass out BVSc and AH graduates.
The Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Pradeep K. Sharma, who chaired the oath-taking ceremony, congratulated the outgoing veterinary graduates and wished them a bright and prosperous future.
He further said that internship is a very important period of the degree programme in which hands on training is being imparted to the students. The Vice Chancellor congratulated the students for completion of their degree and also congratulated teachers and Dean of the Faculty for bestowing the students with holistic values and ethics.
Vice Chancellor congratulated the Veterinary Faculty for making the University to achieve 2nd Rank amongst all the Agricultural and Veterinary Universities of the Country for securing maximum Junior Research Fellowships in the sector of Fisheries & Animal Husbandry.
The oath was administered by Dr. M.M.S. Zama, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry who advised the students to remain loyal to their profession as they are shouldering more responsibility by treating the speechless creatures of God.
