| Doda police cracks burglary case, arrests thief | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 21: Doda police today claimed to have arrested a thief and recovered golden ornaments from his possession.
Police spokesman said that on 16-07-2018, a case under FIR No 117/2018 under sections 454 and 380 of RPC was registered at Police Station Doda on the written complaint of one lady namely Rita Devi of Mankaan Bajarani Tehsil Bhagwah Doda regarding theft of golden ornaments and other articles from her house.
On this investigation of the case was entrusted to Incharge Police Post Bhagwah SI Lekh Raj and during the course of investigation, number of suspects were rounded up/ questioned and during course of investigation one notorious thief namely Rafiq Ahmed of Sakwan Doda was arrested and put interrogates who disclosed that during intervening night he entered in to the house of complainant and decamped with mangal suttar along with chain (golden), ATM Card of SBI Bank, one ladies purse, one ladies hand bag Which were recovered from him on his disclosure.
Further investigation of the case is going on to rule out his role in other burglaries. The whole drive was launched under the supervision of Inspector Manjeet Singh-SHO Doda and DySP Iftkhar Ahmed DySP Hqrs. Doda on the directions of SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir. |
