RAJOURI, July 21: Management of Universal One Stop Centre for Women Rajouri today organised an awareness camp at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Rajouri to aware the girl students about various crimes against female folk at domestic level, workplace or at any other location, the preventive and protective measures and legal entitlements of females.
Principal Abdul Rauf Dar, OSC Coordinator Neetu Sharma, teaching staff of Higher Secondary School, OSC Staff and girl students were present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Neetu Sharma said the women facing physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and economic abuse will be facilitated with support and redressal at OSC. She said the aggrieved women facing any kind of violence due to attempted sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, trafficking, honour related crimes, acid attacks or witch-hunting can reached out to OSC for redress. Girl students were also updated about stringent laws for protection against domestic violence, harassment at workplaces, trafficking, Eve teasing, stalking etc. She also informed that emergency response and rescue response, medicare, legal aid and counselling, psycho-social counselling, assistance to women in lodging FIR and shelter are a few among other services being provided to distressed women at OSC. |
