Poonch, July 24: Youth National Conference today convened a public meeting in Sathara area of Poonch in which people drawn from different villages including Jandrolla, Gali Nag, Danna took part.
Meeting was chaired by Youth National Conference Provincial President Jammu, Ajaz Jan in presence of other senior chairperson of National Conference district body.
In the discussion held during this meeting people of the areas put forth a number of problems of common masses and also hit hard at previous government for ignoring the genuine demands.
Locals of the areas said that the entire belt is suffering under water crisis and repeated demands to provide relief from crisis received no takers in government quarters.
They also demanded that the sanctioned medical dispensary for the village to be set up at the central location near road so that basic healthcare infrastructure in the area us upgraded while they also said that additional bus service is urgent need of the hour for their area as there is only one bus which plies and carries passengers of seven villages in five panchayats.
People also termed non-availability of LPG cylinders in the area as a major problem for them and demanded that a Gas Agency be opened in their area.
Castigating previous government, they said that Omar Abdullah led government announced upgradition of local high school Sathra as Higher Secondary but previous Government shelved the order thereby pushing education needs of students. Those who accompanied are Mohd Bashir Ex Sarpanch, Fazal hussain shah ExSarpanch , Talib hussain, Mohd Sadeeq, Mohd Rashid Lambardar, Nazir hussain, Ab Gani, sharif, Mohd Bashir Sarpanch, Mohd Iqbal, Mohd Azam, aMohd Bashir, Zaibudin Quareshi, Hafiza Khan, Ahmed Din, Nazir Hissain Ex service man, Ha kam Din, Sarfraz Tantary, Wali Mohd Tantary, Wazir Mohd Tantary and other.
