| Drug peddler held with intoxicants | | | Early Times Report
jammu, July 24: Akhnoor police claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 125 intoxicants feom his possession.
Police spokesman said that during Patrolling at about 1900 hrs when police reached Kamalian found one person who was coming from opposite direction and on seeing the police party he suddenly changed his direction and tried to run away.
"He was chased and nabbed by police party and during his personal search one polythene bag containing 225 nos. of Tramadol IP Rimdol-5 intoxicant capsules were recovered from his possession and during questioning he failed to justify the reason for keeping such type of intoxicant capsule in his possession", said spokesman.
He further said that during query he disclosed his name as Subash Chander of Pangairi Kamalian tehsil Akhnoor.
The above said person used to sell these intoxicant capsules among the youngsters of the Akhnoor area illegally for getting undue profit.
On this a case under FIR no. 151/2018 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor.
The whole operation was led by Inspector Shiv Dev Singh-SHO Akhnoor under the guidance of DySP Munish Kumar-SDPO Akhnoor and overall supervision of Dushyant Sharma SP Rural, Jammu. |
