| 3 medical shops closed for non compliance of Act | | |

Poonch, Aug 1: The functioning of as many as three medical shops in Thanamandi was stopped for one day in view of non-compliance to some provisions of Drugs Cosmetics Act 1949. The action was taken when 15 medical shops in Thanamandi town were inspected for ascertaining quality of medicines being provided to public, maintenance of sale-procurement record besides compliance to other norms set under law.
The inspection team observed non-maintenance of prescribed record in respect of 3 shops namely Jahan Medicose, Aaraff Healthways Medicose and Life Care Pharmacy and ordered their closure for one day. The inspection team comprising Naib Tehsildar Mohd Farooq Rather and Sub Inspector Sham Lal Kaith headed by Assistant Drug Controller Rajesh Angurana also collected 10 samples for test and analysis. |
