| SSH constitutes Infection Control Committee | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 11: The Management of the Super Speciality Hospital (SSH) Jammu constituted Infection Control Committee (ICC) for mentioning infection in the hospital premises and taking the required steps to control the same.
A meeting organized by the management of the hospital, Dr Arun Sharma and chaired by Principal of GMC Jammu Dr Sunanda Raina and other HoDs of various specializations were present on the occasion.
Medical Superintendent of SSH Jammu, Dr Arun Sharma told that during the meeting, HoD Cardio-Thoracic Anesthesia Dr Puja Vimesh was nominated as chairman of the governing body and Dr Beena Jad nominated as Infection Control Officer and Infection Control Nurse, Nancy and a daily monitoring team also formed to monitoring all types of the infections and take preventive measures.
He further told that the governing body and team will work on Implementation of infection control policies, Supervision of standards of professional care in regards to infection, Education and orientation program for professional staff, Surveillance of hospital-acquired infections, Surveillance of staff health, Standards of hospital domestic cleaning and food services hygiene, Management of visitors in isolation circumstances, Matters of general hospital organization and purchasing where these may affect infection control and others
"The first committee has been constituted in the GMC and its associated hospitals by SSH Jammu and our first job is to accurate the percentage of the infection in the hospital and then necessary steps to control the infection, "he added. |
