BJP drops hint of Govt formation without alliance with PDP
8/11/2018 11:04:10 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 11: Already senior BJP leaders have rubbished Omar Abdullah's fears that the BJP may be framing an alliance with the PDP for the purpose of the Government formation. If it is so how can then the BJP be able to form the Government ? It means that the BJP has plans of forming the Government with the support of the rebel PDP MLAs and those that follow Sajjad Lone.
Though he BJP requires the support of 19 MLAs to be able to form the Government but there are only three rebel PDP MLAs.Where will the BJP get the numbers required for the Government formation?
Even if the BJP succeeds in the Government formation but its vow to secure scrapping of Article 35-A will not endear the BJP to even the 10 per cent masses in the Kashmir valley. This way the BJP has two tasks to perform. One,the art of Government formation and the second one pertains about its promise to abrogate Article 35-A so that the new Government is able to grant full citizenship rights to the refugees from West Pakistan.
The political activities about government
Behind the veil
formation in the state have picked up momentum with the BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav holds series of meetings with party leaders and ally Sajjad Lone.
Madhav held a two hour marathon meeting in Srinagar with party's senior leaders. The meeting was attended by former Deputy Chief Minster Kavinder Gupta and senior leaders Sat Sharma, Sunil Sharma, Rajiv Jasrotia, Bali Bhagat and others.
Sources said the BJP leaders discussed various options on government formation in the State. "However, they insisted that the new political dispensation should be without involvement of PDP.
Reliable sources in BJP said leaders during the meeting opposed any idea of cobbling up alliance with Mehbooba Mufti.
They said the BJP leaders were of the opinion that since two more years were still left for the state assembly to complete its full term, the formation of new government in the State had become inevitable and unavoidable.
Sources said BJP leaders wanted the party leadership to look beyond two dynastic families of the State for forming the government.
